As a start-up, City Floorings was exceptionally skilled at what they did — installing floors, repairing carpets and cleaning floors. In their line of business they were exceptional. The one thing they were lacking was a look and feel that expressed that confidence to their customers.
When developing branding and digital strategy for City Floorings we analyzed the competition. One of the major problems was finding competition. While there are many companies that sell carpet, repair carpet or clean carpets, not many did all three. Even the ones that did specialize in different areas focused on one specific area (most just sold carpet). This gave City Floorings a unique edge — they were a full service, in-home flooring specialty company. Any need that dealt with your floors could be handled by one company.
Being based in New York City, the target demographic for City Floorings was tech-savvy and business-minded. Most of the competition didn’t have an online presence which initially gave City Floorings a step ahead. In building a digital presence we also gave functionality to their website. While most websites for businesses the size of City Floorings would act as a brochure, informational website about their business, we added functionality. Customer had the ability to schedule appointments right through the website which made the first steps of capturing new leads quick and easy.

With our help, City Floorings was able to build a brand from the ground up. We developed a branding which matched their home territory (New York City) along with the tools necessary to capture leads quickly and without hassle from the potential customer. For non-tech-savvy customers, we developed a phone system for the client which allowed capturing of leads by phone and a professional style phone menu system that is easy to use while not being intrusive (the phone system allows any caller to reach an operator with one touch-tone).
